Introduction

Navigation Application is a very young company, and is part of the MHSI-group. It was founded as an initiative of a group of experts in various fields. We feel that by combining our knowledge we are able to provide seafarers of all kinds with the best there is in navigation software and equipment.

Within the Navigation Application group we have people with mathematical degrees, there are GPS specialists and former navy officers with experience and degrees in navigation, hydrography, bridge resource management (BRM) and tactical operations.

Objective

Our objective is to select hardware and develop software mainly in relation to navigation and tactical operations, for not only military users, but also for governmental institutions and the private sector. 

We will present all our products through our website and hope that in time our website will become a meeting place for everyone looking for the best navigation software and hardware available.

Software

We develop and write most of the software ourselves and although we provide software products through our website we can also write software based on customer requirements. For instance, some of our standalone software has also been integrated into combat management systems with just some small adjustments which we are very able to complete.

Hardware

The hardware you will find on our website has been carefully selected using the following criteria.

1. Highest quality available

2. Very reliable (proven concept)

3. Off the shelve available (no long lead times)

Courses

At this moment we only provide one course which is a course about GPS and satellite based navigation. A possible next course that we are working on, is for Bridge Resource Management (BRM), unfortunately this course is not available yet.

Development

Like already mentioned above we are also capable of writing custom made software, some projects we did were:

1. Write a custom made navigation (conning) display

2. Integrate line of sight calculation within a Combat Management System

3. Integrate loxodrome and greatcircle calculations within a fuel saving application

With regards to future development we are looking into:

1. Precise navigation for oil platforms, even with role information from GPS sensors

2. An offline routing program to safe fuel by selecting the shortest route for transatlantic voyages

Future plans

At this moment we are growing bigger and bigger and we hope to expand our (internet) services more and better in order to provide our customers with all the information, software and hardware they require while maintaining the high quality that we value so much ourselves.
