Ask a question about this product

This receiver (the AsteRx2eL) features an integrated L-band modem to receive subscription-based GNSS augmentation corrections distributed via satellite. A variety of techniques, including wide-area differential and Precise Point Positioning (PPP), allow precise calculation of position everywhere on the globe (on land and on water), without the need to deploy basestations or to use radio communications.

The receiver features 136 hardware channels and has an update rate of up to 100Hz and comes with APME (Posteriori Multipath Estimator Technique), RAIM (Receiver Autonomous Integrity Monitoring), DGPS (Differential GPS, base station and rover) as on-board features.

Industrial GNSS Receiver

AsteRx2eL belongs to the AsteRx2e receiver family, which is powered by a proven L1/L2 GPS/GLONASS/SBAS OEM receiver engine, built around the 136 channel multi- frequency multi-constellation GReCo3 ASIC.

Integrated L-band support

AsteRx2eL includes a built-in L-band receiver to receive GNSS augmentation data sent in the Inmarsat L-band.

Precise Point Positioning algorithms use this data to model satellite clock-and orbit errors independently of the user position, enabling dm-level accurate position calculations anywhere on the Earth, independently of the user’s position.

These techniques are eminently suited for environments where fixed infrastructure for providing corrections is absent or at a large distance, such as on the ocean or in sparsely populated or developing areas.

Apart from PPP-based position calculations, AsteRx2eL also features all other positioning modes of the Asterx2e family, including RTK.

GNSS+™ technology

Additionally, Asterx2eL receivers are equipped with GNSS+ technology :

APME+ extends APME to GLO

Lock+ provides exceptional stable tracking under high vibration conditions resulting in significant higher availability.

RTK+ extends RTK for longer baselines and provides faster initialization.

AIM+ protects the receiver against in-band continuous wave interference signals advanced. A user selectable spectrum plot is available for interference signal identification.

Easy to integrate

As all AsteRx receivers, AsteRx2eL is available as OEM board, or integrated in a compact waterproof hardplastic housing (AsteRx2eL HDC). Flexible configuration, a powerful command language, a variety of detailed output messages and formats suited for automation, serial, Ethernet and USB2.0 interfaces, all facilitate the work of the system integrator.

Command and control

As with all Septentrio GNSS receivers, an intuitive GUI – RxControl – can be used with the AsteRx2eL for its configuration, for logging and remote control. Moreover, RxControl includes a host of enhanced visualization features. RxControl is available both on Windows and Linux platforms, as well as on WindowsMobile for PDA platforms (RxMobile).
