Tidal Calculations

With this program you can view and store data for high tide and low tide, using the harmonic constants from the Britisch Admirality Tide Tables (BATT).

All you need to do is start the program and select "create file". You need to give up a filename for your database and a location to store the information first. After you have done that, you can start inputting the harmonic constants into the fields as in the image below, where we used the values given for the harbour of Plymouth in the UK.

Once you have completed the form you can save your file and your first harbour is available to view. You can add a total of 20 harbours to one single database and you can view two harbours at the same time. In the example pictures, used on this website, we added one more position, called "Start Point", which is close to Plymouth, so you can see what two graphs look like when displayed at the same time.

Two more nice features you have at your disposal. First of all you can select any date you would like, so you can go all the way up in the future to plan your arrival at your harbour and see what the tide is at a certain date and time. Secondly you can use your cursor to view tidal data within the graph itself (See picture below).
