GPSSIMUL generates GPS NMEA-0183 output sentences at the serial communications port (COM1 to COM4) of your PC.

Benefits

GPSSIMUL is a useful program for developers of PC-GPS software, because it eliminates the need for a GPS unit during developing and testing. But it is also useful for people that want to test or check any NMEA compatible device like autopilots and chartplotters. Compared to NemaTalker it has less functionality, since it does only GPS, while NemaTalker can simulate many more instruments. Supported NMEA sentences

GPSSIMUL V2.1 supports the following NMEA sentences: GGA, GSA, GLL, RMC, VTG, ZDA, so it can be used in combination with many popular GPS mapping programs available.

The trial has a 100 sentence limitation and in order to lift it, you need to purchase a key, which you can use to register the product and lift the limitation.
